Smart City Laguna
The first planned smart city in Brazil is located in the district of Croatá, in São Gonçalo do Amarante, presenting a total area equivalent to 330 hectares, of which about 500 thousand square meters correspond to a green area. In all, $ 50 million will be invested in ‘Smart City Laguna’, which will also feature residential projects for all income brackets, including ‘Minha Casa, Minha Vida’.
The residential, commercial and industrial complex reached the mark of 2 thousand units sold, approximately 30% of the total project. The final objective is to close the year 2018 with 3.5 thousand units sold, and in recent months the appreciation of the square meter increased by 140.9% and the appreciation of the commercial lot grew by 218.2%.
The smart city of Laguna aims to explore technology and innovation to utilize the natural resources efficiently, providing a sustainable and affordable city for its residents. The complex aims to bring together sectors such as Mobility, Public Spaces, Green Areas, Technology and Services, Urban Planning, Education, Commerce, Internet and Environment, innovating the sector of smart cities planned in Brazil.
The Northeast Regional Meeting, to be held on March 15 in Salvador / BA, will discuss topics related to what characterizes a smart city and will approach smart cities models around the world, focusing on how to implement these actions in the context of the Northeast. For more information click here.
